About  Becky Freeman

Leveraging 10 years of her former custom interior design practice, Founder and Stylist Becky Freeman not only knows Toronto homes inside and out, she can also guarantee which fixes bring the highest ROI when preparing a property for sale.

After a decade of implementing her interior design client's wish lists, she's seen what features matter most to homeowners. Ironically, many of her clients were first time homeowners who weren't satisfied with the property's traits upon purchase. Times are changing however, and move-in-ready properties are increasingly appealing to today's time-deprived buyers. Statistics are showing that the majority of buyers will pay MORE upfront to avoid having to undertake a renovation to gain the home they dream of. So, if your property can quickly appeal to a buyer who is willing to pay substantially MORE for this convenience, would you invest a LITTLE in making it stand out from the rest?

This is where Becky stands apart from the rest. She isn't your typical home stager. She is an experienced interior design guru who collaborates with Toronto's motivated sellers & agents to strategically prepare and beautifully style properties going to market to ensure they sell for top dollar.

improving life's details is essential

Becky inherited the 'fix-it' gene. Growing up with parents as a constant renovators and real estate investors, her personal interests in home improvement and potential seeking were positively influenced from a young age. "Potential is waiting out there, you've just got to find it and harness it", she says, "if there's potential, why not try to achieve the best result possible? Life is too short not to try our best". Becky doesn't leave any room for untapped potential. In her process, the Discovery Report is delivered full of low-investment ideas that deliver high interest response from buyers.

where it all started

Becky began her academic training in a radically different field than what she practices today. She graduated with an honours degree from the University of Guelph in Social Work. Four short months later she continued to pursue her inner calling by enrolling in Humber College's recognized Interior Decorating program and graduated with honourable mention on the Dean's honour list. Her work today marries the two disciplines brilliantly by empathetically understanding her client's needs and implementing them beautifully.

Within 4 weeks of receiving her diploma from Humber, her career catapulted into action with the acclaimed Gluckstein Design in Toronto as a junior decorator. After countless luxury projects later and the best business training a new decorator could ask for, Becky established her own full service decorating company Becky FreemanInterior Design. A decade of designing custom interiors and collaborating with many happy clients later, Becky was ready for a different challenge in her career that also married her personal strengths. The Property Stylist was born & the rest is history in the making.

Becky enjoys the work life balance in the Leslieville neighbourhood of Toronto with her husband, four year old twin boys & Boston-Beagle pup Morgan Freeman

As a recognized graduate, Becky proudly represents Humber College as a Decorating Advisory Committee member.

The Property Stylist is registered with RESA (Real Estate Staging Association) in Canada and Becky is active in the Toronto chapter.

Becky recently co-authored 'Home Staging, The Power that Sells Real Estate' by OTB Publishing, 2016. Her chapter features her expertise in Vacant Staging.
